Margaret Bradley/Paul Phinney Scholarship Program

As a public service to the community, the Falmouth Track Club funds the Margaret Bradley/Paul Phinney Scholarship Program aimed at supporting college-bound high school seniors who have been active in Cross Country and/or Track and Field in high school. In addition, preference will be given to students who have volunteered for FTC-sponsored events and/or the Falmouth Road Race, and who are members and/or whose parents are members of the FTC.

This year the FTC will award five $1000 Margaret Bradley/Paul Phinney Scholarships to deserving senior high school students.

Students attending Falmouth High School should apply for the scholarship through the Falmouth HS Guidance Department. High school seniors from other schools may apply by downloading and completing the application and mailing it to: Falmouth Track Club, PO Box 699, W. Falmouth, MA 02574

The deadline for all applications is May 2, 2014.

If you have any questions on the Scholarship Program, please contact one of the Members-at-Large, currently Paul DiAngelis (pauldiangelis2003@yahoo.com) or John Banner (jlewis138@gmail.com).

Wednesday Night Track Workouts All Year!

The track workouts will persist, as ever, regardless of weather. You never have to worry about being the only crazy person!  There will always be at least one other person running around on an oval track all winter long! The numbers have actually been good of late, even in the cold. Bundle up!

There are two workout groups to choose from: The first is a group appropriate for people who are beginners, have a fear of track workouts, are recovering from injury and run/walkers. This group should warm up and be ready for 5:30 pm. The workout overlaps with the 6 pm group and is a 40-minute group.

The 6 pm group is a one hour group and those participants should be ready to go at 6:00. (more…)
