of Director’s Meeting

The meeting of the
Board of Directors of the Falmouth Track Club was held at the Quarterdeck
Restaurant on Nov. 28, 2005. The meeting
was called to order at 7:20 P.M. by
President Russ Pelletier. Present were
Russ and Joan Pelletier, Carolyn and Courtney Bird, Terry McKee, Bob Richards,
Doris Beatty, Pat O’Brien, Jack and Wendy Carroll, Mike Norton, Glen Rogers,
Kris Tholke, Janet Folger, Jim Preisig, Dana Delorme, Ann Tarrant, Maddy
Marken, Don Facey, Ken Gartner, Tor Clark, Lucy Young, Lauren Lavender and Ann Jennings.
Leslie
White from the Bermuda Department of Tourism spoke first about the Bermuda
Marathon Weekend.
1. SECRETARY’S
REPORT
Minutes
of the previous meeting were distributed earlier in the week and read by the
Board. They were accepted as is.
2.
Treasurers
Report
Joan
reported at $42,000 profit before CCM donations. There is $8000 in the CD
account. It was a good year for the CCM but Main St Mile and Seagull 6 lost
money. The Seagull 6 paid out its 2004
donation of $4200 for high school uniforms in 2005.
3. VICE
PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Vice
President Jack Carroll, Janet Folger
and Doris Beatty will be the nominating committee for the next year’s election
of officers.
Jack,
as Vice President will review all news articles for the newspapers
Ken
Gartner reported that the next issue of the newsletter should be out in January
or whenever there is enough to warrant an issue.

Donations- $1500 to Mashpee Boosters; some other
recommendations are soccer team, CC Free Clinic, Penekese School, Around the
Table, Enterprise Community Fund, PAC, Civil Air Patrol and Special Needs
Program. We are recommending $12,000 in
additional donations. If anyone wants to
recommend an organization, please let Courtney know.
CCM
was again selected by the USATF-NE to be the Marathon Championship event for the
2006. This marks the 18th
selection in the past 19 years.

COACHING Jim reported that
winter training is going on at Fuller Field with duties shared by Anne, Jim and
Bob Richards.

MEMBER AT LARGE
Terry McKee and Don Facey reported that new samples are coming in for
merchandise.
12. NEW
BUSINESS
Ann
Jennings is working on some track and field events for 7-12 year olds
It
was proposed that FTC buy a brick from the Falmouth Beautification committee
for the FRR garden. The cost is
$100. Motion was voted in.
Mike
and Betsy Mullo are accumulating clothing for a donation to take to
MSM
Race Director, Mike Sbrocco and Seagull 6 Director Pete Sampson are currently
not living on the
Russ
reported that they were talking to an organization that may sponsor many of the
FTC events. This is only in the
preliminary stages.
