Four in a row for White at Coffee O Five

Thirty-two runners enjoyed a very fast night at the Pre Saint
Patricks Day Coffee-O-Five. Mike Norton led the way this week, as he
crossed the line in just one tick under 30 minutes. Steve Faluotico
followed 30 seconds later, as he turned in one of his best Friday night
times in a while. Mike Ouimet nabbed third place.

The race of the night was for fourth and fifth place. Dave
McPherson made it out of work early for a change and was able to make
one of his rare Friday night appearances. He reeled in Michele
Bianchini on Surf Drive and the two runners battled each other gamely
for the entire last mile.
The two men ran neck and neck down Walker Street to the finish
and in the end Bianchini prevailed by two seconds.

For McPherson it was a personal best five mile time by 30 seconds and
for Bianchini it was his fastest Friday night run in a long time.

Stace Bealieu also turned in a personal best for her run and her
time of 36:31 was good enough for second place. Finishing first for the
women for the fourth week in a row was Juliette White....the wrong way
kid from Colusa California. Ms. White used her coach, John Babington,
as a navigator this week and the two ran together. This was the last
Coffee-O-Five for Ms. White for the season, as the SEA student will be
shipping out to sea next week. Sharon Napier edged Elizabeth Jazowski
for third place.

The Coffee O Five is held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall
Square in Falmouth. There is no entry fee for this self-timed event and
all runners are welcome to participate.
