Bianchini is First Italian Winner of the Coffee-O-Five

The post race drinks of the night were espressos and cappuccinos
down at the Coffee Obsession. Michelle Bianchine, the veteran Italian
distance runner, won his first Coffee-O-Fiver with a time of 31:02. He
is training in earnest for a masters half marathon championship race in
his homeland in May. The jubilant runner posted his fastest 5 mile time
in over 3 years despite a hard 10 mile training run earlier in the day.

Mike Ouimet was the early leader this week before he was overcome
by a case of the “post Boston Marathon blues” at the half way point. He
still held on to edge Matt Plant for third place with a time of 31:35.
Mr. Plant is coming off a fine three and a half hour effort at the
Boston Marathon two weeks ago.

Fresh off a swift sub 4 hour run in the Boston Marathon, Paul
Hartel bounced back with another 5 mile personal best time this week.
Peter Landry also had a great run as he cracked the 34:30 mark for his
first time, and now has 34 minutes as his next goal.

Wendy Stafford garnered her second Coffee-O-Five title this week
with a time of 38:34. Eileen Miskell grabbed the second spot in 41
minutes flat as she completed her first Coffee-O-Five of the year. Kris
Tholke edged Judi Keller for third. Lisa Concilio may be the fastest
ICU nurse at Falmouth Hospital, as she grabbed fifth in her first Friday
night appearance.

The Coffee-O-Five is a weekly 5 mile road race. It starts and
finishes in Town Hall Square and there is no entry fee required for this
self-timed event. All runners are welcome to participate.
