Friday Night 5 Mile Coffee O Results

18 Runners at Second Coffee O Five of the Year

Just as the runners lined up at 5:30 on Friday night, the cold rain came to a stop and the runners had a
surprisingly nice night for a run. Eighteen die-hards showed up this week. Albert Price of Falmouth
completed his first Coffee-O-Five ever, having just recently found out about the event. He commented
afterwards that it sure beat running alone. Jack Whitehead started his Boston Marathon training with a brisk
5 miler in just over 46 minutes.

In a battle of two fast starting 52-year-olds, Phil Riposo edged Dave Farrell by just 3 seconds. The two
running veterans took fifth and sixth respectively. Charlie Stock led the way this week. It was the first
Coffee-O-Five that he ran in the dark, fortunately he was escorted by a veteran Coffee-O-Fiver who
was able to guide him back on course every time he missed a turn. Last weeks Bourne Weary Travelars
Road Race winner, Mike Norton, finished third. Steve Faluotico took fourth. Stace Beaulieu chalked up
her first Coffe-O-Five win of the year as she easily outdistanced the womens field. Elizabeth Sherman
edged Linda Dalton by just one minute for second place in the womens field.

The Coffee-O-Five is held every week at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth. There is no entry fee or registration required for this self timed event.
