Fast Times Engulf Coffee O Five
It was another perfect night for a run this Friday for the
Coffee-O-Five. Forty runners and another 15 walkers congregated in
Town
Hall Square for this weeks event. For some of the runners it
was one
of their last opportunities for a personal best times, for in two
weeks
the runners will be foraging through the course in the dark.
As predicted, Peter Landry cracked the 40 minute mark en route to
a
top five finish and a personal best time. His time of 33:34 knocked
30
seconds off his previous personal best. Steve Faluotico also chalked
up
a personal best run, as he to took 30 seconds off his old mark.
Mr. Faluotico went out very fast for the first mile and then held
on for a
time of just over 29 minutes. He took second place overall. Dana
Miskell turned in one of his best times in a long while. His time
of
32:40 was good enough for third place over-all and he may have also
reclaimed the title of the fastest guy at Wood Lumber.
Steve Hamel took fourth as he led a pack of four runners
who stormed down Walker Street in one large group.
Rich Waldman bested his wife by a minute en route to his
personal best five mile time of 39:13.
Lindsay Dutton garnered her second Coffee O Five win, as she raced
home in 36 minutes. Kris Tholke finished 2 minutes later, showing
no ill effects from last weeks Hartford Marathon. Sarah Morrisseau
edged Chris Scott for third by just 15 seconds. Mary Olenick rounded
out the top five.
A group of 4 runners from SES, which is not to be confused with
SEA, made their Coffee-O-Five debuts this week. Chris Freeman of Fort
Worth, Texas led the group with an eight place finish and a time of
34:20.
The Coffee-O-Five is a weekly five mile run and 2.4 mile walk which
is held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth.
The event is totally free and all runners and walkers are invited
to
participate. After next weeks run, reflective running vests will be
required for the runners.
