New Years Eve Coffee O Special
December 31, 2004

Twenty-eight runners and a handful of walkers gathered in Town Hall
Square on New Years Eve for the last Coffee O Five of the year. Ed Sweeney
held of last week¹s winner, Mike Stone, by eight seconds to nab second.
Jeff List chopped three minutes off his time of last week and finished
fourth in 32 minutes flat. Kevin Leach was the first of four fast
fifty-year-old s who crossed the line in succession. His time of just under
33 minutes stood up for fifth.
Wendy Stafford was first for the women in just over 37 minutes. Eileen
Miskell and Terry McKee teamed up to tie for second. Stace Beaulieu and
Rachel Horwitz teamed up to tie for fourth.
The Coffee O Five is a weekly five-mile run and 2.4 mile walk that is
held every Friday at Town Hall Square in Falmouth. There is no charge for
these self-timed events. The event will revert back to its normal 5:30 PM
starting time next week. Reflective running gear of some sort is required.
