      Twenty Four Coffee O Fivers

The rain cleared and 22 runners and a couple of walkers enjoyed a nice
Coffee O Fiver. The runners were swilling hot cocoa instead of cold water
this week, a sure sign that winter has arrived.
Jenny Rocca of West Yarmouth made her first Coffee O appearance and
took fourth over-all and first for the women. Jack Carroll managed to
redirect Ms. Rocca back on course each time she took a wrong turn in the
dark. Wendy Stafford followed a minute later to take second. Stace
Beaulieu and Rachel Horwitz crossed together in a tie for third.
Bob Richards forgot his reflector vest, so he clung onto Mike Garry and
his bright vest like a cheap suit for their entire 47-minute jaunt. The two
old-timers made it through unscathed.
The Coffee O Five is a weekly five-mile run and 2.4 mile walk that is
held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth.
