Fast Times at Coffee O Five

Former Falmouth High running ace, Todd Kirkman, blitzed the Coffee O
Course this week in 27:54. He finished in a tie for first and obliterated
his old personal best time by two and a half minutes. Steve Ruane, of the
232 Racers, held on to the fast pace until tiring in the last half mile.
Mr. Ruane finished just 20 seconds back and he to ran a personal best time
by just a couple of seconds. Rich Lavers of Fitchburg and Jeff List rounded
out the top five.
Nancy Correia also turned in a very fast time to win the women¹s race.
She cracked 34 minutes en route to her fastest time in over a year. Stacy
DeRuiter moved up a place from last week and took second. Rachel Horwitz
crossed the line 30 seconds later in third.
Warren Dalton took top honors for the powerful Green Team of Wood
Lumber. Garry, Lanoue and Tholke followed on his heels. Bob Richards just
missed his personal best by a scant six seconds.
The Coffee O Five is a weekly five-mile run and 2.4 mile walk that is
held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth. There
are no entry fees for these self-timed events and all runners and walkers
are welcome to participate.
