Fifty Plus Run/Walk First Coffee O Five of Summer
June 28th, 2004

Kevin Gray and Bill Solimine led the way this week at the Coffee O Five
running perfectly paced 5:40 miles the whole way. Rich Lavers of Fitchburg
followed in 31 minutes, one of his best Coffee O efforts. The Ruane brothers
finished together in a tie for fifth with a time of 32:42. It was the first
top-five finish for Dan and his best Coffee O Five time.

Nancy Correia took another 30 seconds of her time as she raced home to
another Coffee O win in 33:36. Jess Baker finished hot on her heals just
three seconds later. Lindsay Ruthven edged Wendy Stafford for third by 20
seconds. Ms. Stafford, who has run 36 minutes and change more than anyone
in the history of the event, cracked the 36-minute mark this week.

A pair of former Falmouth High harriers, Sam Ledwell and Matt Auger,
trotted home together in 37 minutes. Eilis Auger had one of the few
personal best times of the night as she cracked 50 minutes for her first
time.

There were nine walkers in the 2.4-mile event this week.
The Coffee O Five is a weekly five-mile run and 2.4 mile walk that is
held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth. There
are no entry fees for the self-timed events and all runners and walkers are
welcome to participate. Post race water is generously supplied by Coffee
Obsession of Queens Byway and hopefully soon of Woods Hole.
