Forty Plus at Labor Day Weekend Coffee O

The weather conditions were perfect this Friday for the Coffee O
Fivers. Bill Solimine romped home with one of the year¹s fastest times as
he posted a sub 28-minute time. It was a full three minutes before the
next two guys crossed the line. Rich Lavers finished in a shade over 31
minutes to nab fourth. Dirk Koomans chalked up a personal best time of
32:08 en route to a fifth place finish.
Lynn Holmgren outdistanced Wendy Stafford by a couple of minutes to
take first for the women. Rachel Horwitz edged Kara Lavender for third by a
couple of minutes. Jeanne Cerulle chalked up her first top five finish with
a time of 43 minutes and change.
The Coffee O Five is a weekly five-mile run and 2.4 mile walk that is
held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth. There
are no entry fees for these self-timed events and all runners and walkers
are welcome to participate.
