Friday Night
5 Mile Coffee O Results

Fast Field to start off 2005 at Coffee O Five
January 7, 2005

It was back to running in the dark for the Coffee O Fivers this week
and 20 runners and a handful of walkers took part. Chris Darrah, a harrier
from Mashpee High School, shattered his own sixteen and under course record
by over a minute. Mr. Darrah¹s winning time of 28:31 was the fastest time
turned in since last August. Steve Ruane hung on to the lead pack for three
miles and then settled for third with a sub 29-minute timeŠone of his best
Coffee O Five efforts.
Wendy Stafford was first for the women as she crossed in two tics under
37 minutes. Collee McCusker and Sarah Biber tied for second in 41:45, just
a shade ahead of Ann Tarrant.
The Coffee O Five is a weekly five-mile run and 2.4 mile walk that is
held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth. There
are no entry fees for these self-timed events and all are welcome to
participate.
