It was another Coffee O Five summer scorcher this week. Susie
Theroux just moved to town this week and copped a Coffee O Five win in
her first try. The former Long Islandite cracked 35 minutes in her
Coffee O debut. Penny Christo took second with a time of 37 minutes
flat in her first Coffee O Five of the year. Wendy Carroll, another
new name at the Coffee O Five, took third in 39 minutes.
Mike Norton streaked home in machine like fashion to take first
for the men in just under 32 minutes. Steve Ruane, who was fresh off a
Full Moon Mile win the previous night, trotted home in fourth.
The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile run and 2.4 mile walk that
is held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth.
There is no entry fee for this self-timed event and all are invited to
participate.
