Warm Spring Coffee O Five

Spring has finally arrived and it brought good weather and a large
field for the Coffee O Fivers. The post race hot cocoa is done for the
year and the cold water is back. The reflective running vests are back
in winter storage. The good weather brought out 25 runners and
walkers.
Pete Landry raced home to a third place finish with his fastest
time of 2005. Jack Carroll edged Dan Myer for fourth by half a minute.
Dan McGoldrick edged Bob Richards for sixth in his Coffee O Five
debut.
Wendy Stafford won the women’s race by a scant three seconds over
Suzanne Litrell. Sarah Biber followed a minute later in third, while
Colleen McCusker nabbed fourth for the women.
The Coffee O Five is a weekly five-mile run and 2.4 mile walk
that is held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in
Falmouth. There is no entry fee for this self-timed event and all are
welcome to participate.
