 5 Mile Coffee O Results

Forty-one runners and a handful of walkers enjoyed a perfect night 
for a run at the Coffee O Five this week.  P.J. Pettrone was running 
the race for his first time and managed a fourth place finish in 33 
minutes flat.  Chris Darrah, a Mashpee High harrier,  took first 
over-all in just under 31 minutes.  Four fast fifty-year-olds finished 
in succession, with Kevin Leach leading Jack Carroll, Dana Miskell, and 
John Curran.  Mr. Leach ran 33:30 and took fifth.
      Jill Irving-Bishop made her Coffee O debut and trotted home with a 
third place finish in 38 minutes flat.  Wendy Carroll and Stace 
Beaulieu topped the women's field.  Twelve-year-old Kiley Barry of 
North Falmouth had a very good run.  Ms. Barry cracked 42 minutes, just 
a minute off her personal best which she ran two weeks ago.
      The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile run and 2.4 mile walk that 
is held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth.  
There is no entry fee for this self-timed event and all are invited to 
participate. The 23rd Annual Main Street Mile will be held Sunday, 
September 11th at 1:00PM.
