 5 Mile Coffee O Results

    Thirty-three runners toed the line this week at the Coffee O Five. 
The strong north-east head wind on Surf Drive didn't help the runners 
much at all.  Kristi Pokraka took first place for the women in her 
Coffee O debut.  Ms. Pokraka finished in 37:40...just 12 seconds ahead 
of Wendy Carroll.  Rachel Horwitz edged Ann Tarrant for third.
     Steve Faluotico tied for first in the men's race, with P. J. 
Petrone crossing just seconds later for third.  Chris George edged 
Kevin Leach for fourth.  Patrick Parker, of Oak Bluffs, took eighth in 
his first Coffee O of the year and then made a mad dash to catch the 
ferry back home.
      The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile race and 2.4 mile walk 
held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth.  
There is no charge for this self-timed event and all are welcome to 
participate. The event is sponsored by Coffee Obsession and the 
Falmouth Track Club.
