 5 Mile Coffee O Results

     The rain held off long enough for all twenty-four runners to finish 
the Coffee O Five this week.  Patrick Burns cranked out a personal best 
time on a tough night to run fast.  It was the last Coffee O Five 
appearance of the season for the Nauset Beach life guard and he 
streaked home in just under 35 minutes.  For Bob Crowley and Will 
Briggs it was their first Coffee O Fives of the year, and both runners 
trotted home in about seven minute per mile pace.
      Wendy Carroll led the women this week with her fastest time of the 
year...36 minutes and change.  It was a big log jam after that for the 
women.  Kelly Guay bested Ann Tarrant and Danielle Brown by just nine 
seconds.  Jen Scherra crossed twenty seconds later to round out the top 
five for the women.
      The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile run and 2.4 mile walk that 
is held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth.  
The event is sponsored by the Falmouth Track Club and Coffee Obsession 
of Queens By-Way and of Woods Hold.
