 5 Mile Coffee O Results

October 30, 2006    

It was the largest field of the year as fifty-five runners toed 
the line at the pre Fourth of July Coffee O Five.  Chris George and 
Teddy Farley ran neck and neck through the first two miles before Mr. 
George pulled away for the win in 29:42, just 4 seconds off his 
personal best.  Fourteen-year-old Teddy Farley took second in 30:26 and 
shattered the 14 and under course record in the process.  Brian Nelson 
was in town for the weekend and the former Coffee O regular trotted 
home in seventh with a 31:32 clocking.  Ben Hassey crossed with a 
personal best time of 33:45.
      Laura Hutchinson picked up where she left off last fall...with a 
Coffee O Five win.  Ms. Hutchinson ran a perfectly pace race and 
finished in 32:39.  Stace Beaulieu took second with a time of 36:30 and 
Danielle Kleppan finished two minutes later to nab third for the women.
      The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile race held every Friday 
night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth.  There is no entry fee 
for this self-timed event and all are welcome.  Post race water is 
generously supplied by Coffee Obsession of Queens Byway and Woods Hole. 
  The event is sponsored by Coffee Obsession and the Falmouth Track 
Club.
