 5 Mile Coffee O Results

      Twenty-two runners raced through the rain at the Coffee O Five 
this week. The official race results were a waterlogged mess by the end 
of the night, but after much work the results were finally deciphered.
      Erica Lasek-Nesselquist led the entire field through the first 
mile and then held on for a time of 34:15 to lead the women's field.  
It was one of the fastest women's times of the year.  Jen Scherra and 
Kelly Guay raced home together in a tie for second in just under 41 
minutes.  Stace Beaulieu and Rachel Horwitz trotted home ten seconds 
later to tie for fourth.
      Coffee O Five ironman...Bob Richards was a very rare no show this 
week.  Mr. Richards is in fourth place overall on the all time Coffee O 
Five finishers list and was leading Pete Landry by just two races.  The 
edge is now narrowed down to just one race for the coveted number four 
top Coffee O Five ironman spot.
     The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile race and 2.5 mile run held 
every Friday night at Town Hall Square in Falmouth.  The event is 
sponsored by Coffee Obsession of Queens Byway and of Woods Hole and by the Falmouth Track Club.
