 5 Mile Coffee O Results

May 19th, 2006  

   It apparently was a good night to run fast at the Coffee O Five 
this week.  Stace Beaulieu's goal was to break 35 minutes for the first 
time and she did so with 30 seconds to spare, thanks to a pair of very 
fast finishing miles.  Nancy Correia finished even faster as she passed 
Ms. Beaulieu in the home stretch and got the women's win by a scant 
eight seconds. Both women finished in the over-all top five.
      Jared Wilcox, a current Falmouth High harrier, and Todd Kirkman, a 
former Falmouth High harrier, set the pace up front.  Youth prevailed 
this week as Mr. Wilcox finished first by just nine seconds with a time 
of 29:21...a personal best by over two minutes.  Brady Signs trotted 
home with a personal best time of 39:04 and Susan Maddigan finished in 
48:42...also a personal best.  Patrick Burns, who finished fourth for 
the men, was just five seconds off his personal best time.
      The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile run and 2.4 mile walk that 
is held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth.  
All are welcome to participate in this self-timed event.  There is no 
entry fee.
