Thirty-five runners enjoyed a perfect night for a run at the Cinco
de Mayo version of the Coffee O Five. It was so warm that the Elm Road
water stop was in action for the first time since last summer.
Susie Theroux raced home with a 34:30 clocking to nab first for
the women, her time was the fastest women's time posted this year.
Stace Beaulieu came home a minute later with one of her best ever
Coffee O efforts. Danielle Brown cracked 37 minutes for her first
time, which was good enough for third place. Ann Tarrant chalked up a
personal best time as well, as she trotted home in 37:41 to take fourth
for the women. Wendy Carroll rounded out the top five.
Todd Kirkman ran a perfectly pace race to take second over-all in
29:45. P.J. Petrone was third in 30:41...just six seconds off his
personal best. Kevin Leach edged Pete Landry for fourth with a time of
34:30.
The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile run or 2.4 mile walk that
is held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth.
All are invited to participate in this self-timed event.
