 5 Mile Coffee O Results

     Twenty-one runners broke their reflective running vests out of 
winter storage and toed the line for the Coffee O Five this week.  With 
the nearly full moon out over Vineyard Sound it was almost as clear as 
running in daylight.
     Ann Tarrant was the first woman to cross the line as she edged Lucy 
Young by a few minutes.  Joanne Corsano bested Nicole Depferd for 
third.  Jeff Hamilton cracked the top five with a fourth place finish 
in 37:05 and Sean Powers followed in  fifth.  Pete Landry showed no ill 
effects from a fine effort at the Cape Cod Marathon just five days 
previous and he trotted home in just under 40 minutes.  Kevin Kavanagh 
got a Friday night off from pouring coffees at Coffee Obsession, and he 
finished in a few tics over 40 minutes.
      The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile run at 5:30 every Friday 
night from Town Hall Square in Falmouth.  There is no entry fee and 
reflective running vests are required through the winter.  The event is 
sponsored by Coffee Obsession and the Falmouth Track Club.
