 5 Mile Coffee O Results

Thirty-four runners turned out for the frigid Good Friday 
Five...the largest field of the year. Pre race reports of an irate and 
very territorial goose patrolling the Mill Road intersection threatened 
the start, but the race went on as planned without incident.
      It was a three way tie up front for the men.  P.J. Petrone held 
off Matt Plant for fourth...with both runners posting season best times 
of sub 32.  Wendy Carroll was top woman with a time of 40 minutes and 
change.  Lisa Stone edged Kristan Frias for second.  The four walking 
women has a close contest.  Kris Tholke got the nod as she edged 
Carolyn Bird by a minute.  Joan Pelletier and Ann Picolo finished right 
on Ms. Birds heels.
     The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile run held every Friday night 
from Town Hall Square in Falmouth. All are invited to participate.  The 
event is approaching its ten year anniversary which will be in mid 
June.
