Just eleven Coffee O die hards braved the icy, slick roads this week at the Coffee O Five. No one ran all that fast, but everyone made it through without hitting the ground. As a sure sign that winter has arrived, the runners enjoyed steaming hot cocoa after the run.

The previous week was not much better, just seven runners lined up in the cold rainy downpour. The first place women's prize has gone unclaimed for two weeks as even Coffee O ironwoman, Carolyn Bird, missed two runs in a row which is a rarity.

Reports are coming in off the newswires that Santa Claus will be making his customary pre Christmas Coffee O appearance next week. The jolly little man in the red and white suit has flown into Town Hall Square the past three years.
