Eighteen runners lined up for the last Coffee O Five of 2007. Dave McPherson saved his best for last as he ran with the lead pack through three miles and held on for a top five finish in 33:42... one of his best runs of the year. Greg Packard returned to the Coffee O Five after a five year hiatus, and lost just a minute or two. He finished fifth in just over 34 minutes.
Paul Hartel escorted Lucy Young and Wendy Stafford across the finish line in a tie for first in the women's race. Kris Tholke edged Joan Pelletier for third and Carolyn Bird rounded out the top five.
The Coffee O Five is held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth. All are invited to participate in this self-timed event. Reflective running gear is required through the winter. Post race hot cocoa is provided by Coffee Obsession and the race is put on by the Falmouth Track Club.
