Some of the Coffee O Five regulars had enough sense to stay in out of the mid winter thunder storm that rolled through town on Friday night...fourteen others did not. All made it through unscathed but a little wet.
Victoria Stearns, wearing some borrowed clothes to stay warm, led the women's field. Her time of 43:45 was the fastest women's time of the new year. Andrew McDermot cracked the top five and Tim Couture finished sixth despite a few wrong turns in his Coffee O debut. Mike Mulligan cracked 50 minutes for his first time.
The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile run held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square. Reflective running gear is required in the winter, the event is sponsored by Coffee O Five and the Falmouth Track Club.
