The Coffee O Fivers caught a break this week as the rain stopped for just enough time for all the runners to cross the line mostly dry, although some had soaking wet feet from sloshing through the knee deep puddles on Surf Drive.

Liz Douglas, of East Falmouth, took first for the women in her Coffee O Five debut. She sloshed home in just under 40 minutes. Paul Hartel, one of the Coffee O ironmen, finished third in just one tic under 39 minutes, it was his best finish of the year.

The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile run held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth. There is no entry fee for this self-timed event and all are welcome to participate.
