Forty-three runners braved a hot and humid and essentially terrible night for a run at this week's Coffee O Five. Jared Wilcox, a former Falmouth High harrier, out kicked Mike Norton in the last mile to take first with a time of 30 minutes and change. Ben Ouimet, a current Falmouth High harrier, ran another steady race and also had a strong finish. Ben took fourth in just under 34 minutes in his final Coffee O before the start of the fall cross country season.
Joanne Jack had another good run to take first for the women. Stace Beaulieu edged Liz Douglass for second.
The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile run held every Friday night at Town Hall Square in Falmouth. All are welcome to participate in this self-timed event. It will be cooler next week.
