A large field of twenty-two runners braved the cold, ice, and dark this week at the Coffee O Five. The rumor of a champagne water stop proved to be unfounded. Once again the times were slow as the icy roads slowed things down. Matt Plant and Liz Douglas went home undefeated for 2009 as they bested the men's and women's fields. Jeff List, the ultra runner from East Falmouth, finished his shortest race in years.
The Coffee O Five is a weekly five mile race held every Friday night at 5:30 from Town Hall Square in Falmouth. There is no entry fee and reflective running gear is required through the winter.
