Cape Cod Roadrunners Annual Winter Fun Run : 1-10-2016, 10:30 am

The run is followed by a social get together, awards ceremony, raffle and refreshments. This year the proceeds will be donated to the Bourne Conservation Trust, a private non-profit organization which obtains parcels of land in the town of Bourne for the purpose of conservation and recreation.


Martha’s Vineyard 20 Miler : 2-13-2016, 11 am

The number of runners for this race is restricted to 500 Individual 20 Milers, and 50 2×10 Mile Relay Teams.

A fast certified half-marathon loop with two major hills. The first beginning just after 3 miles and the second beginning at the 12 mile mark.

Falmouth 5000 : 3-16-2014, 12 pm

An annual holiday themed (St. Patrick’s Day) USATF elite sanctioned and certified 5K event with a kids fun run at 11:40 am. The Falmouth 5000 is a flat and super fast course set in a beautiful seaside venue. A portion of the proceeds of this event will go to Dana Farber cancer research through Team Maureen.

LIVE LOVE TRI Indoor Triathalon : 3-28-2015
25 min swim / 25 min bike / 25 min run (heats beginning every 1/2 hr from 8 am-noon), YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard (111 Edgartown Vineyard Haven Road, Oak Bluffs), $35 minimum, visit website

Do one, two or all three legs of the event. Sign up as a relay team or individual. Age Groups: Youth 11-13, 14-19, Adult 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. LIVE LOVE TRI raises $10,000 annually for the Y Community Outreach and Financial Assistance program. Suggested fundraising goal is $250 (fundraising is not mandatory).

Seagull Six Spring Classic : 3-29-2015, 11 am

A scenic and hilly loop, the last three miles of which are the first three miles of the Falmouth Road Race course backwards, including the hill at Nobska Light. Seagull Six signature glass mugs to the first 200 registrants.


Cape Cod Trail Race : 4-12-2015, 8 am

James Joyce Ramble : 4-26-2015, 11 am

The course loops by historical landmarks with approximately two dozen costumed actors reading the works of Joyce aloud along the route.


Liam Maguire’s Irish Pub Almost Five Miler : 5-3-2015, 9:30 am

A New England Runner Pub Series event. Limited to 500 entries. The scenic, mostly flat, single-loop course starts and ends in Town Hall Square and runs through residential neighborhoods and along the Vineyard Sound shore.

Ragnar Cape Cod Relay : 5-8-2015 & 5-9-2015
About 200 miles, Hull to Provincetown, regular team $1380, ultra team $920, high school team $450, visit website

Teams of 12 – or ultra teams of 6 – tag team run day and night, relay-style. Only one runner hits the road at a time. Each participant runs three times (or 6 times for ultra teams), with each leg ranging between 3-8 miles and varying in difficulty.

Cape Abilities 5K Walk/Run : 5-9-2015, 9:15 am

Runners and walkers alike enjoy the flat, scenic course, complete with water views. A major fundraiser for Cape Abilities, the 5k Walk/Run is a fun, inclusive event that brings together families, friends, supporters, businesses and community members. Prizes for the top runners in all age categories.

Team Maureen Run 4 Your Life Walk/Run : 5-9-2015

This race is in honor of Lee Mannillo, a Barnstable County employee who passed away in childbirth last spring, leaving twin boys, as well as another County employee’s wife who was lost to breast cancer on Mother’s Day last year, also leaving twin boys.

Gleason Family YMCA 5K Road Race: 5-16-2015, 9 am

Proceeds from this race benefit the Gleason Family YMCA YCares Annual Support Fund, providing financial assistance to those who otherwise cannot afford membership, programs and summer camp

The Plympton Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are all recipients of race proceeds. In addition to these local groups, two Silver Lake Plympton graduates, seeking scholarships, also benefit from the success of this event.

US Coast Guard MWR Duathlon : 5-23-2015, 9 am

People will not be allowed to enter the Coast Guard base after the race has begun. All spectators must be on the base before the race begins. All adults must present a legal identification card (driver’s license, etc) in order to enter the base.

1-mile fun run at 10:30 am. Start of race is only a 5-minute walk from Island Queen, Hyline, and Steamship Authority Ferry. Course goes around East Chop with sweeping panoramic views of West Chop, Vineyard Sound and Oak Bluffs harbor. To benefit Hospice of Martha’s Vineyard.

Viva 5K: 5-31-2015, 9:00 am

Chip timing and customized bibs. Prizes to first male and female finishers and top finishers in age divisions. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Barnstable Recreation programs through the Adam Prentice Scholarship Fund.

Provincetown 10K : 5-31-2015, 9 am

The race starts in the town center and follows historic Commercial St. towards the dunes and beaches of the Cape Cod National Seashore. This moderately challenging 10K finishes near the center of town (loop). All proceeds to benefit local causes.

JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes : 5-31-2015, 9:30 am

The JDRF Walk is an impactful way to raise money for critically needed type 1 diabetes (T1D) research and show your support for the millions of people affected by this serious disease.


Falmouth June Jog : 6-7-2015, 8:30 am (run/walk) & 10:30 am (kids fun run)

Falmouth Flag Day 5k : 6-14-2015, 10 am

To benefit the Falmouth Education Foundation. T-shirt for the first 200 to register by May 15. Medals for children and many age-group awards. Kids’ sprint races on the adjacent ballfield, 8:45 am, for ages 9 and under, with no pre-registration or charge, though donations are welcome.

Mackenzie’s 5k for Crohn’s Disease : 6-20-2015, 9 am
3.1 miles, Henry T. Wing Elementary School (33 Water Street, Sandwich), $10 per person minimum donation, visit website.

Join the more than 500 people who contributed their time, talent and treasure and raised nearly $20,000 to fund ongoing research by The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. The race is run in a beautiful Cape Cod setting, past the historic New England churches and colonial homes of downtown Sandwich, one of the oldest towns in America and then along the beautiful scenic views of Shawme Pond. Plenty of free parking. Age category medals. After-event activities, food, games & music.

Since 1978, the race has been run along beautiful, but oh-so-hilly, Middle Road. Entries are limited to 1500 runners.

36th Annual Brew Run : 8-8-2015, 4 pm

SBLI Family Fun Run : 8-15-2015, 5 pm
Distance based on age, Falmouth High School (874 Gifford Street, Falmouth), visit website

Events include Tommy Cochary High School Invitational Mile, Falmouth Youth Mile, Toddler Trot, and Family Fun Run. All registered participants are given an official t-shirt, a finishing medal and a digital photo.

Against the Tide : 8-15-2015, 8:30 am

Hip Hop 5K & 10K : 8-22-2015, 9 am

Also a 2-mile walk. USATF certified 5K and 10K courses. All money raised goes to benefit the International Hip Dysplasia Institute and Boston Children’s Hospital Hip Program.

Sullivan 5K Run/Walk for Health and Fitness : 8-22-2015, 9 am (walkers), 9:30 am (runners)

Kids fun run 8:45 am. Founded in 1989 by Dr. Louis W. Sullivan, former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services from 1989-1993. This event raises much needed funds to support the Hospital’s efforts to improve the health of the Island community.

Cape Cod Irish Village Road Race : 8-22-2015, 11 am

Nantucket Rock Run : 8-29-2015, 6 am solo / 7 am relay
50 miles, Nantucket, $100 solo / $300 relay, visit website

A full day, grueling competition in which the course requires runners to swim, run on all manner of beach surfaces, choose between running ankle deep in sand or waist high in crashing waves (or swimming around beach obstacles, etc.), all while trying to span all or a portion of the almost 50 mile run-able perimeter of Nantucket as quickly as possible.

Cape Cod Canal 10K : 8-29-2015, 7:45 am

The race starts and ends at the Bourne Scenic Park. This race was created in memory of Daniel Toy (09.12.80 – 06.07.02). Proceeds from this race will be donated to the Youth Basketball of Bourne. 


David Lewis 5K Run/Walk : 9-5-2015, 9 am

Kids race at 8:45 am is a short course for 3-6 year-olds and a slightly longer course for ages 7-12. The race is in memory of David who died of a heart attack at age 39. His time at Gosnold, which assists individuals and families affected by addiction, allowed him eight years in sobriety.

A flat and accurate mile, starting on Main Street at the Falmouth Village Green, run east, and ending on Surf Drive at the Beach House. A great family run with age group awards and raffle prizes.

Live Like Renee 5k : 9-19-2015, 10 am

The race follows a USATF certified course along the waterfront and continues through Osterville and returns to the beach, where food and beverage will be served. Back at the beach there will be awards, prizes, raffles as well as activities for children including face painting and a bounce house. First 200 registrants PRIOR to September 1will receive t-shirt & goody bag.

George V. Tankard Memorial Race : 9-19-2015, 11 am

girlygirl P.A.R.T.S. 5k Run/Walk for Ovarian Cancer : 9-20-2015, 9 am

A scenic run along Craigville Beach Road. All online registration receive a t-shirt. All proceeds go to Dana Farber Cancer Institute for the research of a pre-screening tool for ovarian cancer.
